Monsters, Jabs and Super Smiles

Our squiggle monkey is 2 months old today - wow time really does fly when you're having fun (or getting less sleep!)

Thursday saw the impending doom of Lyra's first injections... she screamed the place down in the doctors waiting room, and that was BEFORE we even went in - she either has amazing superpowers and sensed what was about to happen - or just heard the other kids crying after theirs and decided to join in! She was very good though when we finally got in, and fell asleep pretty much straight after... and then slept from 9.30pm until 7.30am - longest sleep so far! (is it slightly wrong that we're looking forward to the sleep next time?!!)

She is still struggling a bit with her evening Colic - after trying a few different remedies we think we've found the best one - Colief.  It's designed to breakdown the lactose in the milk (both daddy and grandad had a lactose intolerance as babies)... it does seem to help a bit.  There is one downside, she tend to 'create a monster' in the nappy department every day or so but its a necessary evil!

The best thing about her at the moment is that she is smiling.... not just an 'I've got wind face', but ACTUAL SMILING!!

After weeks of nothing but crying, sleeping and filling her pants, nothing melts my heart and makes it more worthwhile than seeing her beautiful little eyes light up as she cracks into the cutest little gummy grin!
