What a few weeks!

Hello all and welcome,


Yes, yes, yes..... I know.....  We did set of with the intention of blogging every single day but as with everything in life and with having a wee button, the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.


So we are back.... Hello!


Major milestones have been met with open arms, embraced and loved.  So what are they I hear you demand?  Well friend, pull up a chair, sit down and enjoy your favourite beverage.  Spend just 10 minutes, take it out of your busy lives, switch your phone off, switch the TV off and enjoy a little piece of joy in this manic world.

1) Big Girl Bed.... A few weeks ago, Lyra moved from Moses basket to big girl bed and as with everything Miss. Brown does, she smashed it out of the park!!  She took to it like a duck to water and she absolutely loves it.  As you can see by this picture, she loves her bed and likes being all snuggled up with her blankets.


2) Big Girl Room....  So the next logical step from big girl bed is big girl room.  So about 2 weeks ago Lyra moved from our room to her room and you would have never guessed, she slept right through and didn't even notice unlike Mrs. Brown!  Hev was up and down checking every hour to make sure Lyra was ok.  Lyra was scoring touchdowns!  She likes to sleep with her arms up.


3) Rolling over....  Lyra is now the master of rolling over.  Heather walked out of the room last week leaving Lyra on her gym to make a bottle to walk back in and find Lyra on her front, pushing herself up and having a good neb round.  She'll be walking in no time at this rate! :)

4) Nom Noms....  They say that a sign your baby is ready for weaning is when they start watching you when you are eating and Lyra is like a bloomin hawk. So, this morning, Lyra has had her 1st ever little spoonful of baby rice.  To start with she just looked and was like "what the heck is this mush!".  The 1st spoonful just got spat out on to her bib, as did the 2nd and 3rd spoonfuls but then it clicked and she worked out what to do and wolfed down a couple of small spoonfuls and she enjoyed it.


So, a few very busy and amazing weeks in the life of Lyra Maisie Brown i'm sure you'll agree.


So friend, I hope you have enjoyed this little tale, we shall try to do better to keep you updated on the whereabouts and plans of LMB, who as it turns out is the 2nd LMB in the Brown clan!!  My uncle Les is Leslie Mawson Brown and we didn't realise when naming our amazing little girl.  2 LMB's in Team Brown.... that is a good thing, a very good thing!
